Review of Werckmeister Harmonies (2001) by Alain A — 17 Nov 2007
Absolute masterpiece in the vein of Tarkovsky. A filmmaker that makes you actually watch the movie. Extreme long takes only limited by the lenghth of kodak rolls, in hungarian and grim beautiful B&W, Bruckheimer fans beware, if you have the attention span of a goldfish you''l probably die of boredom if you watch this.
As good as a mitteleuropa turn of the century novel.
