Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by David R — 20 Dec 2008
Quiet, beautifully burnished drama about an impoverished young woman on her way from Indiana to Alaska to find work, when her car breaks down in a small Oregon town and she loses her beloved dog, Lucy.
One thing compounds on another, and Wendy is forced to make hard choices about her future. Extremely well done, and Michelle Williams is excellent as Wendy. The film is a stark look a person who fell through society's cracks.
