Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Eoin O — 07 Jan 2009
Deliberately understated and slow, but perhaps too much so. It does, however, feel like a film from another era (the 70's?), probably because it doesn't have the goofy sidekick as comic relief.
For a film that's trying to be a metaphor for American and ambition, I would have liked to have seen a broader range of characters, though I am now curious to see Old Joy.
