American movies don't get much more minimalist than this. Michelle Williams performances is understated and wonderfully naturalistic. Reichardts excellent use of sound is subtle and her cinematography owes alot to the french films of the Dardenne brothers.
I'm so glad this has got a pretty decent theatrical release.
