Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Kyle R — 19 Mar 2009
"Wendy and Lucy" is far more than a movie about a wandering woman and her lost dog. It paints a painfully vivid picture of the grim state of run-down America. The bleak reality of the characters, the businesses, the town, the land, packs a hard punch for those turning a blind eye.
Despite the dreary approach, this film has a lot of heart and Williams' beautifully subtle portrayal further secures her as one of Hollywood's most dynamic actors.
