Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Ben D — 16 May 2009
While no where near as good as Riechardt's previous film 'Old Joy', Wendy and Lucy is good. Somber and quite like I expected but I just wasn't as engaged as I was with Old Joy....still, a well made and timely film.
I was particularly struck with the theme of people either unwilling to help or unaware of a need to help right in front of them, the one character that wanted to help was mostly impotent to do so....that was the saddest of all to me.
