Review of Wendy and Lucy (2008) by Tessie P — 27 Jan 2012
An honest portrait of a twentysomething year old american girl looking for the "American Dream" within her own country. Michelle Williams restrained performance as Wendy show us how humiliating being poor can be on one of the wealthiest countries in the world, while the director Kelly Reichardt minimalistic approach to the story of Wendy and her dog Lucy embodies the zeigeist of the late 00's American crisis.
A masterpiece of alienation in society.
