Like all Todd Solondz films I've seen so far, Welcome to the Dollhouse comes off as incredibly awkward and uncomfortable at times and I had a hard time accepting it. It has its moments, especially the quirky performance by Heather Matarazzo, and I didn't mind it as much as something like Storytelling.
