Review of Welcome to Mooseport (2004) by Rick E — 13 Jun 2004
Got a chance to watch "Welcome to Mooseport" this weekend. I would have preferred to have gone and seen "Chronicles of Riddick" or "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" but those I would have gone with went without me. Bastards. So....for my treat I was given to sooth my pity with Mooseport.
Despite it doing poorly in the theaters, it wasn't a bad movie. It was a perfect sunday afternoon, I'm going to be lazy and lay in bed or on the couch stuff my face with chips and dip and relax sorta flick.
Ray Ramano, should not be a leading man. He's not a leading man. He's perfect as a supporting character though. Ray if your listening and get another offer to be the leading role in a movie...TURN IT DOWN! and I'm not talking the volume of your T.V.
The love story between Ray's character and his girl, well it seemed, not all that interesting. I was more taken with the romance between the president and his aide. Who looked hot in her her business attire and stilletto heels in that sleepy little town. Of course anyone dressed nicely would look good compared to the old biddies who lived there.
So if your looking for a great movie....look elsewhere. If your looking for a good movie that's safe to watch with your parents or other strangers without offending them. Mooseports a safe bet.
