Review of Welcome to Me (2015) by Ildefonso M — 17 Jun 2015
It isn't easy living with Mental/ Social Anxiety Disorders, just barely scraping by with what remains of your trauma and/ or despair. I'd like to learn the lengths that Wiig underwent in unveiling such a perfect blend of comedy and tragedy. Sure, some would argue it's virtue, but I digress, they'd be wrong. There are moments where you actually feel awkward for giggling, or heck, smiling. Other moments alongside a BFF or her shrink, a brilliant Tim Robbins, touch so cleverly. You'll check your pulse, it sneaks up on you.
The film has many layers to peel, but take heart, there's no heavy lifting.
