It plays like a character study that desperately wants to be a basic zany comedy. If it had a plot with an antagonist and obstacles the main characters had to overcome than it might have been more enjoyable.
Outside of a few chuckles, this movie just isn't funny, and while I liked Kristen Wiig's character, I didn't really enjoy the story surrounding her.
