Review of Welcome to Collinwood (2002) by J M — 05 Jul 2011
A bunch of useless thieves plan the perfect job. The comedy is black and the laughs are often. The characters are dumbly likeable as the poorest and most desperate of lowlifes, believable yet ridiculous. It's an entertaining romp.
But there's a lot of unnecessary swearing and due to the ensemble nature and relatively short run time, it often feels like scenes are missing as character development and especially relationships jump ahead off screen.
Welcome To Collinwood is perfectly enjoyable, but it's no classic. Perhaps more one to rent than own.
