Review of Weiner (2016) by Lenard W — 12 Aug 2016
Weiner is a thoroughly entertaining documentary about politician Anthony Weiner trying to become the mayor of New York. The film gives us a very interesting portrait of Weiner himself. I also liked the portrayal of Weiner's wife Huma.
The film makes you think about politics in general. I made comparisons in my head about this year's election. This film couldn't be more topical. The film gives an entertaining narrative of Weiner's attempt to be mayor of New York.
There were a couple of moments that were pretty humorous (Carlos Danger). The film is very short. It is only 96 minutes long, and I was happy about that. The film could've gone on longer, but if it did, it might've become more boring.
Overall, this is a compelling documentary that is very topical and interesting.
