Review of Weekend at Bernie's II (1993) by Sam T — 17 May 2008
The premise is more comical this time (felt like this was inspiration for one of Leisure Suit Larry's adventures), but it's still a good movie, with good comedians doing turns as characters, with only the women seeming to be plain or falling flat.
Again, kudos to Terry Kiser for playing the lifeless Bernie with a fair bit more to do thanks to Voodoo animation.
It's a shame Kiser is too old to make a third film, but I can see a remake being thought about. Here's hoping they don't screw it up. Doing well so far with films aimed at the same level, like the two Harold and Kumar films.
