Aside from a great performance from Phoenix, this film really has nothing else going for it. The story has no compelling or original elements. Wahlberg and Duvall phone it in big time. Mendes is okay. The direction and pacing are terrible.
Don't waste your time unless you're a really big fan of Joaquin.
