Review of We Own the Night (2007) by Spencer A — 26 Mar 2009
This is a violent shove for the viewer into a man's quest for redemption in the eyes of his family and himself in the gritty, grimy underworld of Brooklyn, New York. On the other hand it's another one of those movies that reminds us to look at the bigger picture at what's happening around ourselves and that our actions always have an effect on the ones we love, even if we're trying to distance ourselves from them.
Lean and mean, just the way I like it.
