First I see J. Pheonix drag his mind blown ass on Letterman in an obvious attempt to appear flaky, moronic or just plain nuts. It came off as childish. As a result, I literally detest this guy!Then he's in this movie and transforms from a club manager sleaze-ball to a sad, haltingly brave hero and I can't believe how good he is! Phoenix is frustrating.
He steals a so-so, predictable cop flick yet I feel somehow cheated...as always.
