Review of We Own the Night (2007) by F A — 23 Sep 2009

I adore joaquin phoenix, and have a long standing crush on mark wahlberg, so my objectivity may be in question. it doesnt change the fact that their acting was superiour and helped this movie along. its a premise we've seen many times over: our reluctant hero must rise to the occasion and repair the damage his dangerous associations have caused.

it could have been alot tighter though (it "ends" about three times) but it was enjoyable, and sufficiently tense and suspenseful to keep you watching.
