Review of We Own the Night (2007) by Brian M — 03 Mar 2009
This is a movie zig-zagging between mediocrity and quality.
The cliched dialogues and slow pace are compensated by the good acting and very good 45-60 minutes. However as the movie goes towards the final credits, the cliched "police duty" issue becomes more and more annoying.
It's an intelligent crime drama, which sadly lacks the suspense to move the audience,so as already said We Own the Night is on the boarder between mediocre and the classy Hollywood productions.
