Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Amanda L — 04 Jul 2012
Chilling and disturbing are words people will use to describe this movie, but it's so much more than that. It's bone-shattering. In a good way. A movie that debates the very notion of nature or nurture, it tells the story of the increasingly malevolent behaviour of Kevin and his relationship with his mother.
Tilda Swinton is truly magnificent and sublime in an epic tour de force of a performance, carrying this film through the dreamlike backstory and harsh reality to its powerful conclusion. I adored this.
Enthralling and in every way magnificent. You need to watch this so you to can talk about Kevin.
