Completely f'ed up but when the last half hour rolls around, it's completely engrossing. The movie weaves past and present very effectively, and produces some almost dreamlike states in between.
This could probably be shown in a psychology class during the nature v. nurture chapter. Not necessarily a fun movie to watch but I'm glad I did.
