Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Sean L — 21 Sep 2012
Although the film is overly fragmented through the opening 20 minutes, an intense story begins to unfold about a child detached from birth and his mother who cares for him despite him being "a bad seed" and his utter disdain for her.
An emotionally suspenseful film that avoids all pitfalls I expected out of a psychological thriller. Once the story fully develops, it's one of the more compelling and meaningful films in the last several years.
