Review of We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011) by Pj S — 26 Nov 2012
A dark, artsy and grim film about a woman who doesn't have fully natural maternal instincts and a child who recognizes this and despises her for it. The film is fascinating all around, as all performances are strong.
Tilda Swinton's character as Eva is tragic, as she tries to pick up the pieces of her life for something she did not commit. This is a haunting film that doesn't give us many answers and leaves us to answer them.
