"We Need to Talk About Kevin explores nature vs. nurture on a whole new level." No, it does not. The mother-son relationship was underdeveloped due to the director's preoccupied interest of genre.
The exploration should bring out more dramatic rather than suspenseful circumstances. An adaptation should bring the best of the media, right? Even if it means we have to backstab the author.
