Review of We Bought a Zoo (2011) by Frances F — 02 Aug 2012

I admit I have a serious soft spot for Miss Johansson. So only watched my wife's movie selection initially with one eye. However I soon found that this charming, sweet and endearing film totally caught my full attention. Matt Damon is excellent, Scarlett is as awesome as ever. However it's new girl Maggie Elizabeth Jones that steals every scene. Cute, sassy and incredibly talented this 6 year old is one to watch.

This true (with dramatic changes) story revolves around recently divorced "action reporter" purchases a closed zoo, animals and all. Moving in with his two children he has to somehow learn this difficult trade whilst coming to terms with the grief of losing a spouse and rekindling his relationship with his son.
