Review of We Are Still Here (2015) by Clayton B — 21 Jul 2015
The film starts off with an air of sadness leading into a most eerie vibe in the first act. Once we get to know a little bit more about our characters in the second act, things take a gritty turn and don't let up until the brutal finale.
Fans of the genre may recognize some homage to much older horror flicks before it and the acting can be dry at times (it is a horror film after all), but horror fanatics will recognize this is a cut above the rest and with great use of both practical and some digital effects, it serves as a satisfactory entry into the genre for those looking for a more than descent newer horror flick.
