Review of We Are Still Here (2015) by Brian S — 30 Apr 2017
The film is basicaly soaking in influence and inspiration from other older horror movies, it feels like The Amytiville Horror (1979) meets The Evil Dead (1981). Overall, it's a noble effort from Geoghegan, especially for a debut, but I felt like some things could have been done better, like the chaarcters could have been more developed and some extra dialogue could have been added.
But otherwise, it's an alright horror entry for horror fans, who will certainly enjoy the horror references and the abondance of over the top bloodshed, which the movie tends, almost, to really on it a little too much, rather than goulish scares like the Insidious franchise.
Worth a look !
