Review of We Are Marshall (2006) by Gregory C — 21 Feb 2009

If there was any movie that I enjoyed that exemplified â??inspirationâ??, this movie would be it. From the tragic beginning of the film, to the climatic end, this is a great film worth watching, both for movie goers and football fans alike.

It was based on the true story about the aftermath of the 1970 plane crash that killed nearly all of the Marshall University â??Thundering Herdâ?? football team. Starring Matthew McConaughey as head coach Jack Lengyel, his performance was as good as McConaughey could give it.

For the two hours that it was, it wasnâ??t a â??dragged outâ??. I watched every bit of it. Good friends Eric and Faith were right---â??An awesome movieâ??. Go rent it. Itâ??s worth it. â??WE ARE MARSHALL!!â??
