The film suffers from your typical gridiron glory cliches but there is no denying this is represents a very strong film that is portrayed quite fantastically by Matthew McConaughey, Matthew Fox and the underrated Anthony Mackie.
Matthew Fox, I feel shines the brightest here as he carries the weight of the tragic events that proceeded over Southern Airways Flight 932 and the loss of the 1970 Marshall Football Team. The only problem really, it is brought down by some cliches that make it almost too cheesy for its own good.
