An interesting movie that doesn't really work. the screenplay is not good, and everything else tries a little too hard to make up for it. andrea riseborough is perfect as wallis, and abbie cornish makes the most of her part.
madonna's direction it stylish but a little empty and hollow. there's a lot to look at and enjoy, but not a lot to feel.
