Failed attempt at retelling the story of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII through the emotions of a woman in the 90ies infatuated with Wallis. Too much attention is given to details to the extent that the film gets bogged down in a mire of stylishness but lets the plot run into a mental desert.
The concept of parallel stories may be interesting, but in this particular case, it is nothing but distracting. It may have been better to make two films. Bottom line: Yawn!
