Some artistry in direction by Madonna but the 2 parallel stories, that of modern day Wally Winthrop and that of Wallis Simpson, appear disjointed, analogies she tried to depict didn't work. Character development was lacking to move the viewer.
Characters appear detached from should have been a seamless depiction of both stories in parallel. Music was beautiful.
