Review of Wayne's World 2 (1993) by Ross D — 31 Aug 2009
A great, hilarious sequel to the first. Myers and Carvey make a great comedy team and hit gold almost everytime their on screen together. The addition of Walken to the cast also adds more comedy, even if he's the villian and doesn't get as many jokes to tell. Carrere, Hong, Brown, Basinger, and Farley all get great moments as well.
The one liners are great and Carvey's responses to Basinger when she is hitting on him are priceless and the funniest parts of the movie.
Of course there are always the weird moments that are mixed in with the great funny moments in every Myers movie. The part with Drew Barrymore seemed completely pointless to me, but parts like that are few and far between in this movie thankfully.
It's got good pacing, and manages to have something funny happen in almost every scene to keep it going right to the end. If your fan of the first or a fan of Myers or Carvey then you'll love this movie. Everyone else will be sure to get a laugh out of it too.
"So, would you like to have dinner one night?".
"Oh, I like to have dinner every night.".
