Review of Watership Down (1978) by Adan C — 27 Nov 2007
I first saw this when I was 9 and to be honest, the only thing I really liked at that time was Keehar since he was the only light thing. I was upset by some of the graphic bloodiness in this movie. Watching again at an older age, it's easier to stomach but still disturbing to watch which I guess can be a good thing reminding us of how we harm nature.
Do not be fooled by its categorizing at the average video store. This is not a movie for kids. You have been warned. New reason why I like Keehar even more now: He's voiced by Zero Mostel who was the original Max Bialystock in the Producers.
