Review of Watership Down (1978) by Craig M — 08 Feb 2012
A breathtaking film. True, it may not be for the young children, but that is where this movie excels most. It is quite dark and at times, brutal, both in imagery and it's message, but these things grip and hold you until the end.
The story is not as difficult to figure as some have said either. Great animation, an excellent atmosphere of darkness and mystery, and a feeling of non-censorship have now made this one my favorite films in a long while.
