Review of Water Lilies (2007) by Janice : — 22 Dec 2008
Interesting coming-of-age story about a young girl named Marie who finds herself having feelings towards a female swimmer. Also included are snippets of teenage sexuality, however foreshadowed by Marie's conflicts.
Story was dull, I won't hide it. But the visuals were amazing and unusually vivid.
Overall, certainly not the best french film I have seen this year!
