Review of Water Drops on Burning Rocks (2000) by Doug F — 24 Nov 2008
This minimalist French film achieves what it set out to do which might be to depress the audience. Serves well enough as a dark character portrait, but lacks a lot of replay value. I can't imagine it appealing to many outside of the "slow-paced indie film" fan base, but at least it's beautifully shot and well acted.
