Review of Water (2014) by Alysia V — 23 Mar 2009
It's always sad to see films like this where women are so poorly mistreated, but I also think it's educational and makes us more aware of what's going on in the world around us. This was a beautifully shot film with an absolutely fantastic score/soundtrack and I loved getting a feel for the culture.
I love how the guy in this movie was willing to love her, despite her being outcast as a widow and how poorly others would look upon him for marrying her. I only wish she would have held onto that hope.
..it's tragic what happens. And the bond and sweet friendship between her and the little girl is precious and innocent and the ending just brings tears to my eyes. It's a movie that makes you more aware and even though it's a tale of sadness, it's done in a most beautiful way.
