Review of Watchmen (2009) by Eoin D — 09 Jun 2018
Watchmen lacks the character and impact of its source material. The plot is a lot more predictable then its graphic novella counterpart. This is also in conjunction with the fact that the movie merely doesn't have enough time to build up to the finally as much as Alan Moore's Graphic novel dose and as such it dose not seem merely as emotional as it's counterpart.
And while watchmen is by no stretch a bad movie it pales in comparison with its source and as such dose not remotely add up to its inspiration. And as such just comes across as unnecessary as it tells the exact same story but without that bit of umph that made the novel so great.
And as such I have decided to give the movie a 3.1/5.
