Review of Watchmen (2009) by Shijia C — 18 Jun 2013
Zack Snyder assumed that everyone has thorough backgrounds of comics as he does so he just skipped telling it. It gives me a hard time to connect the dots and go further with motivation and choices of each character.
The movie is massive. It shines with dark and meaningful theme, carefully crafted details, and wisely-selected soundtracks (part of them), but somehow it's fragmented, trying to tell too much things without a great storyteller.
