Review of Watchmen (2009) by Davidbettencourt — 15 Jul 2009
This, in my opinion, is the best super hero film I've seen yet. Watchmen is a visceral piece of cinema which asks what is right and wrong in our society, and who is to judge it? The acting is pretty good, the graphics are phenomenal, and every moment of this film is gripping and wonderfully done.
The dialogue is not boring or long, but rather intelligent and insightful into the characters and the situations this world, and our own, face. I have not read the graphic novel yet, but as a movie, it is extremely solid.
If you liked The Dark Knight, this is another piece to put into your collection. It takes many of the themes present in The Dark Knight, and doubles them into an explosive, volatile, and imaginative movie.
A must for all action film-goers, especially the super hero fans.
