Never in my 30 or so years of movie-watching have I seen a movie with so much gore and nudity be SO BORING! Maybe if the three "prettiest" Watchpeople weren't such mediocre and uncharismatic actors.
Maybe if Jeffrey Dean Morgan, one of the rare charismatice (and non-waxy) actors had played one of those roles instead of the jerkiest Watchdork. Maybe if Dr Manhattan didn't talk (and talk and talk) in such a listless monotone.
Maybe if the entire movie had revolved around Rorschach, played excellently by Jackie Earl Haley. Maybe if the movie didn't consist of more than two hours of backstory followed by 40 minutes of sudden plot.
So many maybes that turned into a movie only fanboys could love.
