Review of Watchmen (2001) by Jay D — 08 Sep 2014
Normally the flow of Superhero movies is like - a protagonist who has some powers and wants to serve society, his archenemy, his love interest, innocent citizens & an entire city reduced to ashes during final combat so that citizens can live in peace.
But Watchmen breaks all this standard cliches & comes up with something that is just par excellence. All are costumed vigilantes here no one is superhero (except Dr. Manhattan), Human beings are no innocent as Comedian says "Human's savage nature is itself the cause of their annihilation", an entire city is reduced to ashes but for something that is ultimately good & there is no specific villain - everyone is fucking right at their respective places.
Hatsoff Alan Moore for creating such an awesome storyline & big pat on Zack Snyder's back for a visual style that is just unmatchable right from starting fight till end climax. Each and every fucking scene is a gem.
Definitely Rorschach & Comedian's ideologies will be revolving in my head for some more days to come.
