Review of Watchmen (2001) by Aaron G — 18 Jul 2016
Six years since its release, "Watchmen" has slowly gained the respect it truly deserves: not just as an extremely faithful adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel but, more importantly, as a masterful piece of filmmaking that stands triumphant on its own.
The damaged heroes are treated with genuine complexity, the meaning is deeply provoking, and the engrossing drama is built on terrifying realism.
