I have been trying to figure out what this movie was for so many years now. My father took me to see this in theaters when it came out, that night is one of my fondest memories of him but I could never remember what movie it was.

I just knew that it had these kangaroo people and it was about a boy who had to help them. It just popped up while I was rating movies, it brought me to tears.
