I absolutely adore this movie. I appreciate feel good movies vs. the usual disappointing endings that some directors seem to choose instead recently. Movies like in the 30s and 40s were meant to be an escape from the realities of real life and I simply think that because real life doesn't' always have a happy ending, it's nice to see fictitiously it can happen.
