I was really surprised at how flat it was. The romance existed solely because the characters shared the same space. Nicolas Hoult was funny early one, but the writing offered nothing humane or inspiring.
It did not work as a horror film, nor seemed to try. It ceased being funny early on. It was not genuinely romantic. Hoult is a favorite of mine and I was hoping this would be better.
