Ugh. Really not sure where this was supposed to pitch itself. Teen angst makes good? Vampire flick? Love story with a twist? Doesn't excel on any front. Vampire purists will hate it instantly. Really can't see why Malkovich agreed to be involved.
Hugely predictable and heart warming (literally in one of the final scenes). Hoult gives a solid performance but suspect this will be one he glosses over in the future as nothing more than a vehicle to raise his profile in the US.
