Review of WarGames (1983) by Simon F — 06 Feb 2009
Classic matthew broderick movie. its a pretty interesting movie about a teenage hacker who almost inadvertently starts another world war. I think this is a pretty underrated movie. its directed by john badham, who is known for his work on saturday night fever, short circuit, and the mel gibson movie bird on a wire.
this has a lot of fun ideas and brings a lot of thought too. could a hacker get into the computers of the army? probably not today, but its cool to think so. this, ferris bueller, and glory, are my favorite broderick movies.
