Review of WarGames (1983) by Alexis E — 20 Jul 2014
WarGames is a wonderful dramedy for those who enjoy computers and hated the overacting of that flick Hackers. It doesn't speak down to you, but it also doesn't implement those fake computer graphics that existed for the sake of that terrible movie.
As it's own movie, it stands up wonderfully, but managed to be eclipsed in its time by Episode IV of Star Wars, and so, this movie now stands in somewhat obscurity to the audiences of today.
Things to note:
*Interesting computer tech in Matthew Broderick's room.
*Nostalgia (you love it).
Definitely a must-see if you aren't just a popcorn movie person.
